A recurring workshop programme passing on the Ekang language, dances, tales and history to children and young adults born in Europe.
Why this project?
Growing up far from the continent risks cultural erasure. Our children have a right to their heritage.
Objectives
- Create a lively and welcoming learning space
- Involve elders in the transmission
- Produce bilingual pedagogical materials
Actions taken
- Monthly workshops open to families
- Intergenerational meetings with elders
- Collection of traditional tales and songs
