Building a maternity ward in rural Cameroon
In many rural areas, women still give birth without adequate medical facilities. CJED coordinates the construction of a local maternity ward, backed by diaspora healthcare professionals and local partners.
Why this project?
Access to safe maternal care remains a major challenge. This project responds to a need voiced directly by local communities.
Objectives
- Build a functional and lasting maternity ward
- Equip the facility with essential supplies
- Train local staff to support childbirth
- Ensure post-natal follow-up for mothers and newborns
